I stumbled upon these on rock auto while doing some internet part number searching... they are on closeout for $15... get em while they're hot!
I cant find a way to link directly to the part, but get on Rockautos catalog and do a part number search for
Dorman 742250 and 742251
I just put a 251 in the LF or my 88... it works great and even sounds neato.
These have the wiring kits for use in either the front or rear...
As long as mine were boxed right, the 251 is LF/RR and the 250 is RF/LR
I ordered two at first to see what I got and how they worked. After I got one installed, I ordered 4 more. Yes, this price is that ridiculously cheap, this is an investment, even if you don't currently need one.
If you click on the part number once you find it, it gives an application listing that does not include everything you'd think it should, but anyone who knows will tell you that pretty much all 80's ford window motors are the same except for wire lengths, and these come with several wire extensions.
These *might* even work for aeros too... they don't have threads in the bolt holes (like aero motors)... You get long coarse thread screws with them for use in boxes (or you can get the screws if they are missing, they fell out of one of my motors' box. I've installed a few Dorman motors in different 80's and 90's Fords, and they all looked exactly like whats in these boxes, except for a different wire connector kit in some.
And like most of Dorman's parts, these are re-engineered as you can see, a different design motor and gear drive that is supposed to be better than the original
