Yes, I worked in LE. I would NEVER do it again.I have been retired for 20 years now. Good pay and benefits though.
The Diplomats were rugged for sure. Ours were 318s with the Quadrajet carb.. Some ran very well, others could not get out of their own way. Top speed that I recall was just over 100 mph. Some could not get above 90. The Dodge handled quite differently due to the weight distribution. Steering was decent as far as the car keeping up with the reaction and quickness of the driver. Fords would not respond as quickly. Keeping traction in bad weather was fair. I owned a 1985 Diplomat with all equipment except for the radios. I sold it to a friend who restored it
The last year they were ordered was in 1989. The Department rejected all of the 89s for patrol use due to the excessive play in the steering/suspension. The parts for the 89 were from the same molds as the 81s. and worn out. For a severe use car, they did well. Hard to find them now in good shape. In some cities like NY, the Diplomats were ordered with the 225 6 cylinder motor.

That is a good price on the mudflaps. I have a nos set in white. but I would not sell them for that price.
The trunk pack information is interesting. I never knew about the supporting spacer block to fit the 92-97.CV.
Those wheel lip moldings are nice and reasonable in price. I would not have them shipped by USPS though. They would get bent up for sure. Good luck in getting a refund from USPS. Their insurance is a scam.

I offered on the wheel arch trim, was not successful, but not surprising as it was a lowball and they're newly listed. 50 USD apiece is as high as I'll go for stashing them in storage.

Will take USPS all day, any day over any other option. UPS destroys packages and doesn't pay out - USPS has paid every time I've been involved in a problem with them, no fuss, and not demanding to take the broken item so they can destroy it as a condition of paying out unlike what UPS does.

If I'm having something delivered inside the US, it's USPS all the way every time.
If it's coming to my home in Canada, USPS handing off to Canada Post is great but can be pricey. FedEx for international commercial shipments is the fastest and cheapest as RockAuto has taught me.18 bucks for a 50 pound box delivered in 2 days, yes please.

But regardless those are an hour from home for me so I'll probably ask about local pickup if I decide to take another swing at them, or get a seller offer.

Id also be concerned they would get damaged through any carrier. A local pick up would be best for all parties involved. Good luck with whatever may come of it.
