I wonder if those early ones are as failure-prone as the later design. Although I'm pretty confident the only fault on the plastic ones is the disintegration of whatever holds the needle valve in place, as ever since I addressed that on my own it's been working reasonably well.Comment

Man that 95. It does look like new. Will be interesting to see what the market price is for that. That Marti is kind of surprising with HPP numbers. Less than I thought.
I don't recall bold colors such as that purple being very popular, but Ford did at least give you some options. Nice contrast compared to today. Heck, you could even get a purple Super Duty in 1999. Not to mention the Rangers, Mustangs, and F150's of the era.1990 Country Squire - under restoration

Beautiful CV. This will be a great car for the right person. As Frankie stated, the new owner should expect leaks. Water pump,rear main seal, maybe injector seals, axle seals.
The color gets some attention. If polished out, it looks good, otherwise it looks dull. Red pinstripes are sharp. I think my 96 CVPI was about $24,000. I am sure the State got a good fleet rate. They ordered hundreds of them that year.
