Yes. I have a similar name brand version. If you can get room to put the C clamp in there, you can do the uppers ON the car. I still removed them for ease of access.

Thanks for the info, doing it on my Vic and Marquis so it will pay for itself as pressing bushings is around $100 in these parts.

Would this tool suffice for upper control arm bushings? Looks similar to the T74P-3044-A-1 tool in my service manual..and for around $50

I have one of these eBay sets of mystery origin. It is the right style of tool for the job, but I found that the tool is not adequate on its own. It just isn't strong enough to put enough force into the bushing to get them out of the arms, and the C-frame starts to spread apart. I chickened out before testing if it would eventually succeed or just shatter. You will still need to use heat and possibly supplement with some air hammer as well.

I can only imagine that the original OTC/Rotunda tool must have been a little beefier. I'm pretty sure I have the tool part numbers in eBay saved searches.

Mine is an Astro Pneumatic branded tool. I've used my 1/2 impact gun on it with no issues.

I wonder what the main c channel body is made of...One could weld some plate steel to strengthen it up a bit?
