honestly looking things up when you have the part number is easy, its finding the number thats a pain in the neck. Would be way easier if it was searchable text but unfortunately thats not really a thing with scans from paper.

Now any idea what the difference between 85 and 86...aside from sefi being introduced? Any obvious reasons as to why this would not work in a newer car?
85 uses the old style fuel cap (1/4 turn, goes on sort of like a rad cap), 86 uses the new one (threaded). The correlation with the fuel injection system is probably coincidental.

A/MA is Vic or Grand Marquis, 74 should be station wagon, so 80-85 non-wagon

The 90 in the partnumber made me say wagon for the filler neck...only because I know thats normally not used for a two door/four door...with my limited understanding of the numbers.
Yeah...gonna sit on that fender for a while.
I was just thinking to myself how I can never find a 83 and up grille nos or even an 88 one for that matter.

A good option if someone is trying to scoop up the 82 header panel from the yard I mentioned in the junkyard photo thread. Still gotta sort out the lenses for the parking lights, though.

Wagon....maybe

The wagon filler neck has no curvy bends, just a single angle bend, and the rest is straight.

Rare item, sure, but I don't think that's going to sell unless a body shop buys it trying to satisfy an insurance job on a high-dollar car.

thats from the 80-89 master parts manual. Written like that it means 1980-1989, so it defilitely works 86-89, and extremely likely it also fits 90-91 police cars.
also individual part numbers for whats in the kit should you need them for something.
should you want a copy of the parts manual
