My 83 MGM has one. I think it was a dealer option. I have not found this particular light mentioned in any of the ordering books.
Hobbs made this light. They were used with GM vehicles, mostly light trucks. Ford used them. Only differences between the Ford/Gm/ aftermarket light is the connector to the vehicle harness and some came with a metal mounting bracket.

That 87 MGM looks like a sharp car. I believe the owner's comment about being kept inside during the winter. The interior does not appear to be faded like most red cloth interiors I have seen.

For anyone wondering here is a picture of this tach installed into a 88/9 interior:

That is a nice one. Still under reserve. I don't think I'd sell it for under $15k if it were mine. It's almost brand new.

I don't know why, but to me that color and those wheels just scream box chevy somehow.

Those wheels... they scream G-body GM (and cool things like 305s and really terrible plastic everywhere) to me on an 80's era ride. Just not my taste. I will say the seats did take some money to do. I will also say that I prefer working locks and windows over fancy seats.

Those GM center caps really don't work on a Mercury. We could talk if it was on say an El Camino, but preferably a 70s Elky

I wonder what they used as the trim on the trunk. It does not look like the factory piece.
