Was woodgrain originally that glossy? I'm not sure I like it that way. Glad I saw this for future reference when I redo mine.

Has that premium sound radio that I don't see very often.

I guess they have the typical dealer markup on there. I'm thinking more like half that price.

The woodgrain is probably oiled up with something on that particular car. It does have bit of shine to it when new. But not like that.

That is one polished and oiled turd, like it emerged from a bath of schmoo. That nasty engine compartment tells all; no distributor condom, intake is scuzzy, black paint missing from the "5.0" plate and general rust/neglect. Moving into the interior, same story. I stopped when I saw how worn out the driver's seat is. If this car has a lot going for it and is setting a standard, then my 130k mile Town Car is worth at least the same amount given it's in much better shape.

Exactly my point. Wagons are getting harder to find in decent condition. Mileage is definitely high. Dash pad is broken around the speaker areas and the leather wrap wheel is sun damaged and badly worn. Does look rust free with a nice dual exhaust though. WagonMan

Yes if it is truly rust free with great vinyl that is worth alot. It provides an excellent base to work with. If you wanted a wagon in excellent condition it would certainly be cheaper and much better to start with an excellent body. Very hard to find.

I don't know how much it is worth but values are up for sure.

I'd pay someone like kishy $16k for his '85 before I paid $2,500 for that car. Once you wash it, all that shine will be gone and you'd just be left with a turd. Guess I'll never understand the wagon tax.

Facebook marketplace still has very reasonable wagon prices from time to time. And boxes in general. This dealer is just fishing for someone with more money than me.

edit: here's an 85, and short of a wheel lip moulding, I bet you it's an equal or better car that the one listed. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...7587374062669/
