the "fat man" seats. Explains why the bolsters aren't shot, there are none. The earlier cars had much larger side bolsters and they are pretty much all destroyed. The later ones tend to get pretty beat too but they aren't quite as bad about it.

same color interior my car has. Its nice if you like red. Not the "porno red" that the Mustangs got but its definitely a bold color.

Too rusty for the price tag, and the ones to buy are 1990-1992; better looking wheels and slightly updated interior. Surprised it has a CD player but no moonroof or the bolster seats. I dig the interior color. Exterior is the same color as my old man's though, miss that car.

If I remember correctly, there were some spots on the bottom of the car possible both sides. Would have to review the photos to be more specific.

There's no use in "repairing" rust if the vehicle will continue to see moisture of any kind. The rust just comes back with a vengeance. My dad's old VII was rusting in the same areas, but also in the decklid. He had them "repaired" and the rust was back within three years. That's my personal experience with it, but I've seen it in the wild too many times. However, I never see that kind of information posted anywhere, it's as if it is some kind of dirty secret people in the bodyshop industry don't want you to know. Thing is, unless you are replacing bolt on panels, anywhere you weld or splice together is going to rust out at that location, from the inside out. Short of squirting oil or something where the repair is, I don't see how else a bloke is going to protect the area against oxidization. Rust repair is best done just before you sell a vehicle. If I'm going to be expected to pay cream puff prices, I expect an actual unmolested cream puff.

the trunk drain area is a common rust point. Its sort of a stupid design. The rear glass drains into the area around the trunk, but there is a roughly 2 inch wide channel it has to get through. There are also a couple of pieces of metal that come together right there. Any gunk on the back glass gets trapped in the drain and stays wet, then the joint rots out or the drain rots out and dumps water into the trunk where it runs down just behind the rear wheel and blows out the bottom of the quarter panel.

It seems like the kind of car that maybe could be bought for 4K have some body work done for a few more then run it for a few years. If you need to put on some good miles, like maybe 15K a year or so.

Guess I missed the rust a first glance. Still seems like a decent car for that money just to drive.
