    Cambridge Auto Wreckers, Ontario, Canada

After I had picked the yard thats close to my house clean, I had to find somewhere else to supply parts. My friend at work mentioned Cambridge Auto Wreckers to me, so I decided to check it out. Lots of good stuff there. Heres some various pics of cars from around the yard, and one really weird car I found, a 1980's cadillac with a 350 Diesel in it. The Black MK 7 Is the car I pulled my heads off of. And I really like the 2 tone brown lincoln continental. Enjoy.

Some more pics. The engine bay I spent 3.5 hours hunched over pulling the E7's out. It was -7c out, not too cold, but cold enough, and the heads at my shop getting a bit of a cleaning. Looks like the Mk 7 was burning some coolant.

That Mark VII looks straight as an arrow and still holding it's clearcoat too. Was it a nice car?

If you look at the pics of the engine bay, to the left you can see some rust. Though it dosent look bad, it was really quite bad all around the car, though its all hidden. Kind of a shame. It was a special edition lsc, had a nice interior too. I got an upper intake, tb, computer, heads and exhaust manifolds off it. I want to find A MK7 badly, but decent ones are never for sale around here. I pass one everyday on my way to work, its white, body and underneath is pretty crappy, and it has a bad rod knock, and the guy wants $2500. I said I'd pay him what its worth in my opinion, which is $500, and he laughed at me. Well its been for sale for a year and its still sittin there. Dumbass.

"and one really weird car I found, a 1980's cadillac with a 350 Diesel in it."

That was G.M.'s piss poor attempt at improving fuel mileage on it's large cars at the time. The motor is actually a 350 Olds V-8. The engine couldn't take the rigors of diesel use. Almost everyone I had seen back then were pulled out, and had Olds gas engines installed. To see one actually STILL in an engine bay is a rare site. Does that thing still run? Was just as bad, if not worse than the V-8-6-4 engine Caddy was trying to push at the time.

I highly doubt it runs. Heard lots on the caddy engines before, none of it good lol. I thought that maybe it was a frankenstein that somebody had built, but I guess you learn something everyday. very cool.

Went back to Cambridge today with a couple friends just to browse andsee what we could find. At the very, very back of the yard, literally behind a 20ft tall mountain of engines, was a Lincoln MKIII. No engine or Transmission, but the body and frame appeared to be rust free, and the paint looked very good for a car that was in a yard. Look for it if you go

That's a great yard. I usually stop in there once or twice when I'm home in Waterloo.
