Alright gents, I lurked here while I was DD'ing my Grand Marquis for the last year or so, and you have been a great help before, so lets see if you can help now.
I'm currently selling my 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis Coupe. The car is almost all original, 81,XXX original miles. 302ci CFI V8 and automatic transmission. Power windows, power locks, Car runs and drives fine. Super clean body.
Recently replaced front brakes (calipers/rotors/pads), new rear shocks, tune-up (cap/wires/rotor/plugs/O2 sensor). To be honest, I haven't torn into this car to replace anything and everything like I usually do because it hasn't needed it.
Minor Issues- Antenna was broken off, weeps a bit of coolant and a bit of oil around the block (I just keep them topped off and haven't had an issue). A/C needs a recharge. It could use a nice polish and wax (if you're that type of person).
I purchased the car from the 2nd owner, an older gentleman outside of Philadelphia who bought it from the original owner the year before. Classic Old Lady who only drove to church and back story. I bought the car to move myself and all my belongings out to Saint Louis for work last year, and it made the 1,100 mile trip without a hitch. After daily driving the car for a year, I picked up a much smaller daily driver (S2000) for the daily grind. So now the GM must go.
