    sold! Sold!! SOLD!!!

Figured it wouldn't stay long at that low price, which was the goal here.

It went to a good home today. I had some fun with the car, and made some money on the sale. All in all, T'was a Win. Now onward to greater things!

Luckily, it went to a good friend of mine, so I will actually get to see firsthand the build progress of this car over the next year or so. He's actually gonna build it into the sleeper that I had planned on doing. Fully stock Granny Ext/Int appearance, with a blown big block beast lurking just below the stock (uncut) hood. Updating the Front Suspension. He's going IRS as well. Can't wait to see what he does with it!

IRS will be neat to see on it. Good to see it went to a good home. Hopefully he'll join and show the progress.

Wondering if we can get a Carolina Panther party (Ford Panther that is) together this coming spring? Glad your box found a good home! Stan

Thanks stan. I'd be down for coming to a local Panther meet sometime, if my MKVI is hibernating at the time, I can bring my '04 Towny. I'm a pretty busy man most of the time anymore. I both own and run a Bodyshop here in charlotte, which takes up most of my daytime hours 7a-7p, but I usually can find a couple of hours each day around noon to sneak off from my guys. Let me know if/when you mangs plan something out.

Seriously, IRS? Make him join and post a build log, I'd love to see an IRS transplanted in to a a Panther. I always thought the popular Thunderbird IRS setup could be adapted with time and skill.

I'll start a new thread this spring and see what kind of interest there is. Maybe we can have a cruise-in somewhere. CMS has a big car show every April but our weather is kind of iffy in early spring.

He won't join. He hates internet forums, partially because of the ignorant/negative attitudes displayed towards southerners on most forums. Can't really blame him, but I keep telling him to just ignore those people entirely, but I guess he's had too many bad experiences in the past. Checkout some Ford Truck forums and you will see all the hate firsthand, still going on. It gets old to just about anyone.

I'll actually be at the Charlotte Auto Fair @ CMS this April, showing off my freshly resto-modded '88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe on the show field. You should come out, checkout the rides, and possibly resister your car to be shown on the Ford show field. It's a great show, and they have an entire huge field section roped off just for classic Ford's (has to be at least 25yrs old). Lots of good food to eat, and loads of immaculate rides to checkout. Hell, they even had Elvis's '56 Lincoln there last year. Had me drooling all day long. All you NC/SC mangs should come out!

Well, my buddy flaked on me and bought an 83 Monte Carlo to build into a sleeper instead, figures.... Can't say that I blame him though, seriously bad ass ride.

I still need to move this car out of here soon though. I currently have no where to store this LTD, and the HOA is on my ass about having too many cars sitting on my property. I have 6 here now, can only have 5 at most, even though they all are running, fully functional vehicles, they only see an eye-sore. That's what I get for buying a nice house in suburbia. I am hoping that it can go to a good home, instead of the boneyard. Will have to be one or the other within the next 6 months though. If anyone here is interested let me know soon, as I'm gonna throw it up on evilbay next, where it could end up going to a derby guy. If I get no bites there, then the next stop for it will be the scrapyard. Will be sad to see it go to the boneyard, but my resto plate is full for at least the next 4-5 years, and I have nowhere to store this little beast but in my yard.

Giving this mostly rust-free beauty away @ $1000 OBO. Has a fully rebuilt AOD installed with only 15K on it, shifts like a dream. Runs nice, but still has a Very Random stalling issue with the VV carb, and although you could drive it back home as is, I would recommend it being towed back to your home rather than driven, just so you don't end up stranded somewhere. Come and take her away!

I can totally see someone pulling up with a 2bbl in hand, swapping that out and hauling ass.

That would be great. Pick the right model 2bbl and the stock TV Rod should bolt right up to the throttle lever!

Pete, here's your chance. She's a damn solid box, with no rust issues to deal with. Fully worth putting in the effort on getting her back into top shape.

I'm thinking about it! I just dumped my Mom's '02 Grand Am because 2 doors aren't best for transportation of my brother's 3 kids, and after having my old neighbor do front wheel bearings I wanted to get out from under it before the next big issue cropped up.

I have to see what my budget is after the doctor appt for my knee tomorrow and how long I'll be off work and how much short-term disability I may get to help pay my bills.

Wish he gave us his final deadline, screw letting some cretin on ebay snag it.

Mom's driving the '90 Towny until I get some good money together to get her a clean, newish minivan (even if it's got 100k at 3 years old).

I can hang onto it for at least another 2 months before letting it loose to the hounds of ebay. The car has to be gone one way or another by July. Willing to ship the car through a transport company as well, if anyone needs that service.
