The time has come to sell my 89 GM as we've moved and I have no more room for it. It's currently located in West Palm Beach, FL. Here are the details:
The Good:
I'm the second owner - got it after the original owner died about a year ago.
99K Miles, engine and trans run strong - starts immediately every time, even after sitting for weeks
Drives like a damn sofa. I love it.
Has tow package with limited slip diff
Tires 1 year old, MAYBE 8K miles on them
Has aftermarket air shocks that work fantastic (air jack near license plate)
A/C conversion done already
Has some sort of auxiliary braking dealie for trailer - don't know because I don't tow - there's a box under the light switch that controls it.
Interior is in great shape
Exterior was repainted yellow a couple of years ago and looks sweet
No rust to speak of
The Less Good:
Driver side power windows front and rear struggling - works, but not well, needs work
Passenger side rear window motor works, but intermittently. Much like a starter with a bad section - I've unplugged it.
Headlight switch is wonky: won't turn the lights on when pulled out all the way - I let the auto lights go on at night and pull the switch part way out to get the tails on. Dopey, I know. Replace or repair, whichever, but it's workable and I've been dealing with it like that for months.
Radio will not turn off (but it WILL turn down - not a big deal)
The Bad:
Water pump gasket leaks like a sieve when idling - needs to be replaced. It CAN be driven short distances if filled with water first, but I wouldn't take it across country.
The vinyl top is pretty torn up.
That's about all I can think of. I don't want to make a huge deal of this, it's at my cousin's and I need to get it out. The thing is, I don't want it junked becuase it's awesome. So I'm hoping someone here wants it.
Best Offer and a good home is all I want.
