Looks decent from a distance
Light blue paint/top with dark blue leather interior. Stainless rocker trim. The rear side windows and rear window are tinted. 166k miles (probably).
Synopsis: A fairly clean (rust wise) DD with a decent amount of work done that still needs some attention. If I were keeping it I would change the tranny (included), diagnose and repair the clunk in the front end, get on the surface rust and figure out why the previously good running engine doesn't idle very well. Then change the heater core and perhaps start on the exterior (top and paint) and other issues. This car is originally from Dayton Ohio, in the southwestern corner of the state.
The tranny did do some strange things recently but settled down. I don't trust it! http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...-Tranny-issues But I'm still driving it.
I realize it's not worth a fortune, far from it. Hopefully someone will buy it, if not I'm parting it out and scrapping it (which would make me sad). Make me an offer, don't be shy. Because of the value, I am only wiping out the interior, and although all wiring will be in place there will be no stereo amps or speakers, so be aware.
I’ve got a lot of exterior pics and should have interior and undercarriage pics shortly.
I'm near I-80 (the Ohio turnpike) and I-271 in the southernish greater Cleveland area, about halfway between Cleveland and Akron. The closest I-80 exit is St Rt 8, the closest I-271 exit is St Rt 82.
Here is my readers ride thread on it: http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...highlight=1985
I have written up a nice fact sheet on it, pm me for that and many more pics. I will be brutal and straightforward in that description, please read it.
Thanks,
Pete
