    88 CVLX For Sale

Selling my 88 CVLX. Has 84k miles. Only problem with it is that it has a hard time starting. Takes a couple tries to crank over. No rust. Was a desert car till last year. Interior is nearly perfect. Could use new carpet, but other than that it is in great condition. Good tires. Wanting to get close to $3500 Car is located in Iowa. About 4 hours from Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Omaha.

Fix the starting issue and keep it!

I'll give you 3500 pesos for it! It's a nice looking car, but in its current condition you'll probably only get about $1500 tops. Fix the starting issue and you may see around $2000. I payed 500 bucks for mine with 66k on the clock from the original owners family. Either way good luck with the sale!

Have you figured out the "hard starting issue"?? Might help in the sale if a purchaser knows what he is in for.

Ah true, mea culpa, sorry I did'nt mean to come off sounding like a jerk. You just don't want to sit around for too long trying to sell it. That being said you'd probably get top dollar by putting it on eBay. I've only put two cars on eBay but word to the wise, make the car look as "granny" as possible. Remove the tint (I like the tint, but if the car looks like the owners 90 years old they'll want it more) and put the white walls out if your tire have them.

Don't think anyone here was trying to be mean. The point is just to set realistic expectations. The "reality checks" should help the owner to sell more quickly.

The starting issue is the starter I believe. Everything else has been done.

In reality, I would be happy with about $2k with a second set of wheels and the intake swap parts.

Interesting to note that his price is right in line with what people are asking for box Panthers in southern Ontario (Canada). Clean boxes are far more rare up here than further south, and it seems to get to people's heads - especially the families of elderly owners who pass away or give up their licenses. Most people here think that because it's old and the paint is still shiny, it's a gold mine.

                          Good luck with the sale.

Yea, I was a little off on the initial price. I would take $1500 for it as it sits without any of the extra stuff. I think thats more than fair for a running driving car.
