Hi,
When I put i the big front brakes my rear 10" drum brakes were insufficient. I drilled and gutted the rear pressure regulator that is screwed into the master cylinder and added an adjustable proportioning valve. This gave better brake balance.
One of the functions of the Regulator in the MC was to maintain a residual pressure in the drum brake portion of the system. Wilwood sells a 10lb residual pressure valve to maintain pressure on drum brakes when the stock restrictor is bypassed.
I recently installed rear disks so took out the wilwood 260-1876
Mine is only a few months old but does have some undercoating on it.
