i know i posted before about a friend of mine that died and the shop tools and equipment are being sold..well after much thought the family had a change of plans..they are going to host an auction/fund raiser. the family is going to start a foundation to boost america (so to say)..the money from the auction/fund raiser will be handed out to those that that want to start a business or further education. that is all the info i have at this point and time.

Philanthropy aimed at giving a leg up, rather than a hand out is always cool in my book. Props to your friend's family! Make sure they look into starting a non-profit foundation or something to take full advantage of the tax breaks associated with that good work.
