Try local craigslist for some 16 or 17" rims. Most Mustang and Panther up to 02 will fit fine. You can always ask here before pulling the trigger. Smart to plan ahead for the big brakes. Those plus a big rear sway, good shocks and tires will make it a different car. Upgrade the rears to disk when they need service.

That's a sweet lookin ride. Me personally I prefer 15" tires for that smooth boulevard ride.
I'm still considering keeping stock rims and going with some BFG radial T/As... It would look damn good. and i'm a huge fan of the little wheel big tire ride as well. stopping is nice too though I guess...
Yeah it really depends what the traffic is like where you drive. I'm pretty rural and the traffic not too aggressive so i can still float along like it's 1988
