My wife has been dying for a wagon and so we finally got one. It has 118k on it with an engine swap 3k ago over all it's really nice condition and moves like a mustang w/ a slightly wider turning radius haha j/k.
The only noticeable damage is to the drivers side rear panel which is why the previous owner sold it to us for $700 with a new set of studded tires and rims.
Good deal? - I think so and I'm a Chevy guy; which is why I am posting here on grandmarq. There are just some things I don't get with this car.
We recently took the car in for a muffler job and this morning my wife missed work because it wouldn't start. Once the sun came up I found a loose wire on the Tbi and it started right up.
Turns out the muffler shop didn't put the straps back on the catalytic converter which in turn pulled on the coupling with the egr ( that snapped at the flange).... Problem fixed for now - not Eco friendly but it runs again.
My first car was an 87 cougar so I am a little bit familiar with this rig. But I have a ton of electrical questions about the power windows/ doors I hope you folks can give me a hand with.
I am a P.E. with 13+ years of plumbing and hvac experience and have a bunch of shade tree knowledge in box Chevys and newer Hondas. (Passport, crv, accord.)
My wife is a professional driver and pretty handy with a wrench too so she and I will be tackling this job together and hopefully make it into one rockin daily driver.
