    Definition of whale and aero

It did't take long to find out what a panther is, but whales and aeros are eluding me. I'm pretty sure aero refers to aerodynamic (versus box), but can't figure out exactly what they are.

Boxes are 79-91 Except Town Car

    Aeros are 92-98

    Whales are 98-11

79-91 Box (even though the 88-91 got a roundy corners update)

92-97 Aero (as in Aerodynamic shape, natch) '90 Town Car update with the fat headlights is considered Aero, but '90-only had the good old 5.0 drivetrain, 4.6 in '91.

'98-final Whale (because dat ass is like a big whale tail)

Malaise Era Pre-79's are referred to as Barges, because they're big and flat and long and wide.

Panther, is of course a catch-all term for any car built on this platform and its updates.

Thanks for the info. I've done a lot of searching and haven't been able to find the definition.

Now all I need is to learn the secret handshake and I'll be all set!!
