Hello to all new MGM owner

Just wanted to say hello and glad I found this great Panther forum.I just picked up a 2008 Grand Marq LS last week and I've already started making it my own

I have a long background with Mustangs especially the Fox bodies and most recently a Kenne Bell supercharged 2011 5.0 that I sold a couple years ago.

I went back to a small import after the Mustang and drove a 2012 Honda Fit for the last couple years.I just could not get the good old American V8 out of my system and so I began looking at both the Crown Vic and Marquis.

I decided on the Grand Marq because of the extra luxury touches it offered.I found a nice one owner 2008 with a little over 70K on the clock. The body and interior had some normal wear and tear but was in overall good condition for a 6 year old car.

The engine purrs like a kitten and runs very strong no leaks and all belts and hoses are in good condition.
I've done my homework and pretty much know what I want to do as far as upgrades.

So far I have converted the single exhaust to a dual set up and installed a set of Ford Racing 3.55 gears.
this was a nice mod for starters and next up will be the 04+ CVPI airbox and a BOC tune.

I would like to do Longtubes but I'm in California and don't want the smog hassle.I may eventually do heads and cam but for now it will be airbox/ziptube and a 87 or 89 tune.I will also do the trak lok soon so I dont have the one wheel peel lol

I 'm a older gent and dont own a smart phone but I'll get some pics up when I get a chance.I hope to stick around and learn from this great Panther list.Oh I almost forgot I had the A/C coming through the defrost only.

A quick search and I had the problem solved with replacing the O-rings and now I have ice cold air and my EATC works perfect.

      Welcome!

When it comes to the newer style cars, the "Whales" as we like to call them, we have some guys (not me) who really know their stuff. It sounds like you have a wealth of knowledge and experience that will allow you to learn your new car quickly and become a great part of the community here.
