2006 GM GS - New to Panthers

Just thought I'd say hello while I'm looking around the site for info. Just picked up a 2006 GM GS w/ 17" mustang rims. Been wanting a panther platform for a while.

I'll try to post pics later, they're a five spoke pattern. Does the speedo need a flash or calibration with the larger wheels? Seems to be traveling faster than indicated

Hello...... Just got back from Vacation in Florida. Rented a 2011 Grand Marquis for 5 days. Totally fell in love with it!! reminds me so much of the big cars from my youth in the late 70's and early 80's. I found the gas mileage not as bad as I first imagined. It was quite good on the Interstate. Over the last 20 years or so I've been driving the usual Japanese FWD cars but I'm thinking it's time to consider a Grand Marquis. This car just floats over the bumps and is ultra quiet on the highway, tons of space and I love the huge trunk! Figures that now that they stopped making them (right here in Canada) that I would discover what a great car this is.

but the used market is great. Find one that's just off lease. you can usually get a great deal on those.

For under 20k you can grab a low mileage 2011 example easily. One of the best used car buys on the market.
