    checking in from eastern WA

This forum seems to be exactly where I need to be. I've owned lots of ford trucks in the past but this is my 1st 80's ford(Lincoln) car.

    1984 lincoln town car
101K miles, throttle body EFI 302, dual h-pipe exhaust (looks factory, dual cats close to the manifolds), 3.08 rear
been in storage for a long time so its got some electrical gremlins but runs good after fresh gas and some fluid changes.

I'd like to keep it all stock but might be looking for ideas for better in town mileage if possible(even if its at the expense of highway mileage)

    stupid questions will be incoming
You know the car runs well when the only things left to work on are the rear door cigarette lighters.

better mileage in town... just swap in better rear gears. 3.27 or 3.55 and change the driven gear on the speedo cable in the trans to sort the speedometer change.

welcome! sounds like a nice car. Post pics, we always love pics!

+1 on the numerically higher gears generally giving you better city mileage. I'm not sure if the difference would be worth it though, going from 3.08s.
