Returning after a 3 year absence from Panthers...

Hello all. I used to be a member here 3 years ago, but I can't access my old account. Old Username was HotRodLincoln, but I no longer have that car. What is it about Panthers that is so addictive? 3 weeks ago, I bought my 6th Panther, a 1996 CVLX. 146k, 100% mint interior, exterior has seen better days. An older guy, whom I suspect was senile, had lost his license and was selling the car for $1,200. After a nightmare of a supercharged 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra, it was a comforting choice. It came with new exhaust, brand new cooling system from the radiator to the heater core (and everything in between), new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, MTX Audio speakers, new Moog coils front and rear, and all the receipts. In the last three weeks, It got a P71 axle, dual exhaust upgrade (not pictured), Edelbrock Shocks, and a tape adapter for my iPod. Hopefully, I can work out the kinks with the engine and transmission soon. Future mods are the same as my other Panthers were, 2" drop springs in the front, beefier wheels and tires, yadda yadda yadda.

Actually it's one of four I know of. A Mustang in Illinois, a Volvo Turbo in Ohio, and a guy in Minnesota have it too.

You gotta be cool: Zoidberg is a prophet and a genius, not to mention cutting a pretty studly figure, too. Obscure and unrecognized, he uncomplainingly champions the intellectual void between real things that matter and the undeniable desire to yield to base compulsions, like whether to eat something or have sex with it - a situation all of us can certainly identify with... No wait, maybe he just champions the intellectual void and has no redeeming social value whatsoever.. yeah.. OK, never mind. Either way, it takes a man to take Z as his alter identity...
