Could it be that the changeover to SEFI came later for Canadian cars? Like California cars got mass air before the
    rest of the country.

Surely the VIN would identify it as its production year?

that IS Absolutely a 351W Canadian/Police engine, and there was no noteworthy underhood change in 1986.

Also, sorry I haven't gotten that scan you wanted yet, I will have it tomorrow, been having some issues.

And just to clear it up, Canadian cars never got CFI, so they went straight from 2bl carb on 302's to SEFIs, and the changeover was carbed in 1985 and SEFI in 1986. That's a moot point in this case since the 351Ws stayed the same more or less until 1991.

85 4 door 351 Civi Crown Victoria - Summer daily driver, sleeper in the making, and wildly inappropriate autocross machine
160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc

06 Mazda 3 hatch 2.3L 5AT (winter beater that cost more than my summer car)

I thought my carbeurator was a 4 barrel?

Below is a picture of the stock carburetor for your car with the air cleaner lid off.

Conversions were popular as these carbs were difficult to rebuild and sensitive to weather changes. You may have the dealer-installed conversion to a 2bbl Holley carb, which will look something like below.

A 4 barrel swap would be a custom work of some sort, but it's been done.

I'm not sure what BBL stands for, but the first picture resembles my carbeurator I think.

I'm considering switching to EFI. Any opinions?
