I just wanted to say that I have been reading your forum for about 4 months, and it has been a wealth of information. I had a '82 Ford Granada back in the 80's, and as of last Wendsday, I now own a 1988 Grand Marquis!

I am sure I will have questions as I take my time to bring this car back into the condition that it deserves. Thank you for the site!

Hi, check the plastic tv bushing on the throttle body, and make sure the cable is still attached, before it's too late.

I hadn't realized a Granada was produced for the American market till '82. Now that I look into it, Wikipedia says '81-'82 were Fox chassis, and the Monarch was called Cougar instead for those years. Didn't say anything about Fox T-birds, though (including T-bird wagon!). How did your Granda compare to a Fox Thunderbird?

Thank you for the welcome and the tv bushing suggestion, i will add it to my list of things to do to get it road ready.

As for the T-bird I dont remember ever seeing an 81 or 82 model. The online pictures of an 82 T-bird was identical minus a couple of bits and pieces.

Funky! I've seen '81 T-birds both online and in person (there was one I used to see in west-central Indiana), and pics of Cougar wagons and a T-bird wagon, but never a Fox Granada.
