    Hello All

Figure I ought to introduce myself and my car, tho some of you may know me from CVN. My name is Steve, and I Live just outside of Detroit MI. I own a very clean 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis GS, its Willow green inside and out and currently has about 98,300miles on it. I bought it in early August 2009 with 74,800miles on it from my great aunt who was its original owner for $1000. The catch was, it had been sitting in her garage since early 2006 w/o being driven at all. It was also disgustingly dirty, so bad I actually took a shower after driving it home. New tires, shocks, intake manifold, rear brake line, battery, and lots of scrubbing and polishing and its pretty much been trouble free for the last nearly 2 years.

Anyway, I'm glad to finally join GMN!
    -Steve

              Welcome!
I can sympathize with the disgustingly dirty bit.
When I got my wagon, I used my then new 6 gallon shop vac to get all the cigarette butts out of the front floorboards. It got full and had to be emptied before I could finish. I finally ended up pressure washing the seats, and putting a rubber floor in it.
