I'm official now

Tonight I picked up a 2000 Grand Marquis.
It has 144,000 mi on it.
So far I really like the car.
I will probably be doing brakes soon and will be picking up an intake to have at the ready for when the origional all plastic unit finally leaks.
Over all, it seems to have been fairly well taken care of.

Senior owned?

It was owned by a younger guy in the National Guard before I picked it up. My guess is that he had it less than a year.

I found a note in the owner's manual paperwork outlining maintenance stating that it had the plugs, fuel filter, serpentine, tires, and tranny flushed about 35,000 mi ago.
It says brakes about 40,000 mi ago, so they probably are due. This car has had 30,000 mi put on it since Feb. 09.
The origional owner left that note.
I also found out that the axle code is C8 which near as I can tell means open 2.73 rear.
