    I'm back.....

Some of you may remember me from last year, I am Mark, I had a blue 2003 Grand Marquis LS with 132,000 miles. I sold it in October, and bought another car.

that car proved uncomfortable for me to drive.. yes, I started back driving after 2 1/2 yrs.

last Thursday, I traded the little car in on another 2003 Grand Marquis GS, the pretty red color you seldom see. Sold new in Conneticut, 2 owner car, 2nd owner in Louisiana, 83,000 miles.

nice to have the roomy comfort, and dual sunvisors back. Things I miss about the LS model is electronic adjustable pedals, remote key fobs, automatic temp A/C, and the aluminum rims

bought seat belt extenders so seat belt could be used by girlfriend when she drives.. YES, adjustable pedals were nice,, I never drove the blue one, just did 7,000 miles shotgun in 4 months

going into local Ford/Mercury dealer Monday to get 2 new keys programmed, only have one key to car now.

oil change, check antifreeze, transmission fluid.. belts and hoses, replace as needed..

    anything else I am forgetting?

got a matched set of 225/60 16 tires today, mounted, balanced, stems, nitrogen filled, tax and all for $415. Never heard of the brand, but built by Michelin/Uniroyal

Any other recommendations as to what might need checked while I am in the dealer service center Monday?

      good point...

girlfriend is experiencing some of the same health issues I am... so I want to get everything looked at, fix it, and know its been done, if its needing done.

will eventually have the same Arkansas Butterfly plate that the blue GM was issued last June.

just waiting to get the registration transferred.. dealer doing that for me.

            welcome back!
have it tuned up, and all the filters and fluids changed, brakes and suspension checked, have them check the belt, test the battery and you should be good to go for a long time.

                  UPDATE:

took car into local Ford/Mercury dealer this morning, programmed 2 new keys to go with the one I had, oil, filter, lube,, all done.

belts, hoses, fluids all looked good. Service manager said its in good shape.

topped off gas, 21.8 mpg for 1/2 tank.

will be interested in seeing what it will be after running 3/4 or so of a tank, with a fresh oil change, and new tires. It rolls nicely when you come into a town, tap your brakes to slow down, and then let it slow down on its own inertia..

hope everyone has a good week!
