    Hello GMN

I'm have enjoyed the forum for a while now and i am just setting up my profile to be ready to post questions or info.
My GM was given to me from my aunt who bought it in '88 with 10k. I received it with 68k. It's been fairly well maintained cosmetically and seems to have been cared for mechanically. It's a bona-fided stripper, I don't think it has an option on it, unless they still came with windups and pushlocks in '87. It's black with red cloth and had the wire wheel covers. It may have the bottom convenience group option. The car had no exhaust on it when i received it, one of the upper control links was wallowed out on the axle side, near bald 215/15s and the typical Ford window lift issues. The water pump went out the first summer I owned it so I took the opportunity to ES bush the rear end, replace the rear shocks and WP and get a stock style replacement dual exhaust with "turboflows". Soon after I replaced the tires with 245 60/15s on turbines and installed an ES bushed wagon front sway bar. It's a fun car and I have enjoyed tweaking it here and there. My first car was a '76 LTD in 1981, and I never got over the fact it didn't have the turbines, so they were a must. I regret a little bit that I can't do the big brake update with these wheels but my son has an base 84 mark, so if I do the change when these tires wear out, he can have the turbines.
I am seriously considering doing the H.O mod with shorty headers. If only to transfer my FI onto the CFI in the Mark. I'm still studying my options. This is a great group and I'm glad to be able to research real world end user mods and repairs.
    Thanks for the Site.
