      Can't find it here, unfortunately.

I've already tried Seafoam in the case and other engine flushes, along with a bunch of other things. I don't think this nut's gonna crack without me pulling the heads off and replacing the lifters.

It's a bummer, but motivation for an Exploder job.

      Thanks for the suggestion though.

my old mans wagon had a stuck lifter once. i put in a can of wynn's engine tune(its in a yellow metal can) and drove the car for 20min, it fixed it right up, did a fresh oil change and haven had issues since. and that was in 2006 lol

          Very nice box! i have a '91 p74 too

My 85 had a bad sticky lifter too... i did the ATF flush trick and i hardly hear it anymore.
I just drained the main oil drain plug and filled up the difference with cheap ATF, and let it idle for about 10 minutes, then drained it all and changed the filter. No more lifter noise!

Ah, see, "stuck lifter" gave me mental images of a lifter tappet that's actually seized in its bore. Though, dirtball as a lot of my work has been so far, I don't do ticking, so when I had a couple of lifters that started to tick (in an '87 351W torquelover assembled, coindicentally enough), I pulled the engine almost immediately.

How long will an engine run with some lifter knock? My moms 85 has some and we arent going to bother with the current engine, were going to just buy a new one if we need to, just wondering how long we can get away with it.

Lifter noise? Just add a bit of Marvel's Mystery Oil (comes in a red bottle) to it and forget it. Lifters can make noise for years before becoming a serious problem.
