hay all im ron and just got a 85 mercury grand marquis 302/with over drive auto. it is cream with tan interior and bage vinyl half top evry thing is in great shape and looks good, only thing im missing is the hood ornament and both the corner turn lights i just recently got a drivers side for it and just need the passengers side.. the only options im missing are the tilt steering wheel and wiper delay and head light delay timer the rear defroster i found a exact copy to mine in a 86 in a parts yard close bye and would like to grab eny parts i need to upgrade this car .. it looks identical only difference i can see is the intake i have throttle body fuel injection and the outer is full fledged fuel injection and the rear tail light bulbs are different i got reg 1157 bulbs.. my question is the wiper dely like the ones on the mustang II and that it plugs in if you got the int. switch them you have that option but it you got the outher you dont .. are the plugs the same..? and is the wireing there to put in the rear defroster as long as i get ther rear window and the proper climet controll cluster? my first car was a 1969 mercury montego and although that was a 2 door this 85 merc reminds me of the good ole days and would like to keep it.. and also my power ant is broke eny idea to fix or replace that.?

the power antenna......replace the mast or replace the entire unit
pretty sure you will need a wiper motor with the interval govener and a interval wiper switch
rear defroster i have no clue......never seen a box without one

Welcome. For the wipers you will need an interval wiper switch, the interval governor box for sure. If the 86 car you are looking at as the interval wipers just get everything attached to the wiper switch. Follow that harness hown to the interval governor box etx.~David~

GMGT has no rear defrost nor does my mark VI lolrear defroster i have no clue......never seen a box without one

thanx for the input yea living ne'er the olyimpic mountains i figure in wipers would be nice along with the rear def.. and after i get the hole tilt column ill get the box for the wiper. no one has any source for a passenger turn signal lens?or a hood ornament.? the mast is there but douse not go totally up and down on its own and makes a clicking noise i dide swap out the am/fm radio for a factory am/fm tape player works great just gotta replace the crappy speakers now.. not a bad car for the 300 i got it for although the gas mileage sucksComment
