bro just got it 130k mint. was my grandmas car just lookin to beef it up . someone explain what i need to convert it to dual exhaust. im new so talk slow

How to add dual exhaust depends a lot on your goals for the car. Buying all stock replacement 2" dual exhaust parts works great if you intend to leave the engine stock, but will choke performance slightly if you're looking at more upgrades later on.

Obvious option #2 is to add used factory '86-'93 Mustang exhaust headers and a 2.25" Mustang H pipe, 2.25" midpipes for a S-10 (Walker 43281 if memory serves), a 2.25" in / 2" out muffler of your choice, and stock Vic dual tailpipes.

Obvioius option #3 will involve a 2.5" aftermarket Mustang H pipe, Maremont 339221 for midpipes (will need to slot the holes on the flanges), 2.5" Dynomax tailpipes for '95 B body, and your choice of 2.5" in/out mufflers. Then you'll need to fabricate a little something so the exhaust exits cleanly (gadget73 and I have ours looking nearly stock)

        Let's see ....

Used Mustang headers can usually be had for under $50 ...

Walker 43281 is $22 each from Summit (need 2)

Need flanges to attach midpipes, about $10 or $15

Tailpipes, probably about $40 each (may only need one if your old single tailpipe is still good)
2.25" Catco catted H pipe, about $300 (can go a little cheaper if you think you can get away without cats)

Mufflers: $20 to $150 each depending on what you like. My 2.25" to 2" system is using stock '95 Caprice mufflers, since they have 2.25" inlets and 2" outlets. Mine were about $35 each from NAPA (guessing probably $27 each from Summit?).

So .... in all, probably $400-$600. Oddly, it's slightly cheaper if you go 2.5", but most engines don't really need that big an exhaust. My personal annoyance has been lack of appropriate off-the-shelf 2.25" tailpipes; all I know of who went that route had their tailpipes cutsom bent.

So are you looking at the basic 5.0 HO conversion like most do, or maybe getting a little fancier with ported or aftermarket heads, etc.? Scott (Lincolnmania) has a basic HO conversion on his Town Car but with ported heads from Thumper Performance, and is very happy with his combo. He's still using a regular Mustang intake and throttle body last I heard.

Just get rustang shorties, junk yard dual pipes, and decent mufflers and have fun with the rumble. Waaaay cheaper. Like mine was around $100 and thats cause my mufflers were $40 each.

                Sure thing.

p71towny's idea is good too, provided you can find your parts used.

                  ride and handling

Your box may need some suspension work, seeing as how it's 20 years old. If the ride is bouncy or the car looks saggy, it's time for new springs and struts.
