i'm pretty sure that the exhaust didn't really change on this generation of the vics and the marquis, stay away from the town cars though, their exhaust is a little longer. so you would more than likely be able to use the exhaust off that p71. so just to be on the safe side stick with 00+ although the 98-99's would probably work too. mine came off of a wrecked 12000 mile 07 p71 that was sitting in the junkyard. didn't even have to pull it, lol. if cvn ever comes back on line i will copy my thread over there and post it here just to give you an idea.sigpic2004 Mercury Grand Marquis GS

Theres a junkyard near me Called pull a part and there is a 2000 and a 1999.
have to look dont know shape and they are cheap there cost is by the foot only $1.58.. i could get the whole system except cats. Ohio doesnt let you buy those only from a store and new..might be my spring project plus i have to put on lower ball joints..

the later exhaust is stainless steel......go for it if you can find a h pipe and a left tailpipe at the u pull it......cheap is good.......anything 98-02 should fit, just make sure it isnt all mangled up
