Hi, my name is Ricki and i am from Norwalk California. Im 20 years old. I found this site a few days ago. I have been a fan of the Panther-platform Fords for awhile. I have a physical disability and dont have much use of my legs. Im in the process of trying to get my license. Im pretty sure that i will need to get some type pf hand control setup when i can start driving. I dont have a car yet but i want a 1988-91 Grand Marquis. My dad has a 1990 LS with 290k on it.

Welcome!
What does one have to go through in order to get something outfitted with hand controls? I'm guessing there are specialty shops for stuff like that? Do you need to go through some sort of state inspection to have the controls certifed, or is it just a matter of the shop has to be certified and you have to be tested on operating them? Don't mean to be nosy, I'm just curious.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

I am not even sure what it all entails yet olo, so far ive just been going thru some of the medical forms. i have to get a doctors approval. i think i will have to take a special drivers ed class. Ive never personally seen a box GM with hand controls in it but im pretty sure it could be done, but idk about cost.
