I know some kid that things police interceptors had 460s in 'em up to 2001, and were direct drop in replacements to the EFI 302s.

I thought police interceptors, had the 4.6L like a Grand Marquis, just a few subtle differences? I mean I'm new into working on cars other than general maitnance. I figured the interceptors had a chip and a limited slip differentcial. I could be wrong though.
