    Oh Hell he's back....

Well as things happen in life, the old 2005 Grand Marq was sold and years passed before I picked up another Panther Platform. Now I'm looking at purchasing a 1998 Lincoln Town Car. I say "looking at" because, the estate is not settled yet and the heirs can't sell it yet. I will be mine sooner or later, just have to let time pass and it will happen.

    Here's the list of positives:
    Engine: good.
    Transmission: good
    Rear Axel: perfect
Body: Ugly but in decent shape

    Bad Stuff
    Needs a decent radio
    speakers suck
some bright work needs a bunch of work
luxury stuff: broken, won't work, flat dead
why did someone put a trailer hitch on it? It's not an F150.
    windshield wipers don't work

But here it is in all of it's whale blue (inside and out) look.....not bad for $2500
Nothing makes me smile more than a cougar in my Panther

Oh here's the first thing on the list to be done, I need new wheels....One has a slow leak.
Anyone have a blue whale with non-factory rims they can share pictures of so I know what I want.

Steering is vague and slow feeling.....gotta do something there.

Does anyone have a black interior they don't want anymore?

Also does anyone know how to get rid of the bloat float of these "luxury rides"?

I had a hitch on my '97 and still have one on my '87. These cars aren't really bad for towing, IMO. Wouldn't surprise me if it was for a wheel chair carrier though.

Check the front end... ball joints, tie rods, idler, and pitman arm. If those are worn, it'll feel sloppy. For the floaty ride, my usual recommendation is toss some KYB Gas-A-Just police rate shocks on in place of the factory shocks. Usually firms up the ride a little, but not so much to be harsh on a retail car. Larger sway bars are also an option (like P71 front sway bar and HPP rear sway bar).
