I am in the process of becoming a member in this forum. Question: I have a 2005 Grand Marquis equipped with bucket seats and a console as well as the P71 police package. It is also the same blue color as the 2004 Mercury Maurader. This seems like the perfect car to turn into a Marauder clone. Does this car have significantly more value than a typical 05 GM?

No. In fact, the police package cars typically have a little less value than the regular ones due to lack of comfort options. Being a Grand Marquis though, it's probably more a Street Appearance Package so it's a civilian car mostly on top of the fleet frame and police electrics. That said, it's probably about equal to a base Grand Marquis GS. Making it into a clone will lower the value slightly if only the appearance, but may raise it slightly with some enthusiasts if you do the complete 4 valve engine swap as well. It will still be lower than real Marauders of course and closer to the value of the base car underneath, but some will enjoy the look alike nature of it. You will not raise the value anywhere close to the amount of parts and labor you will have to put in to complete the process though.
