+1 - sorry, we need more clarity about what exactly isn't working.

I am able to access the site using Edge (desktop), Chrome (mobile and desktop), and Firefox (mobile and desktop), on multiple devices, on multiple ISPs including multiple cell phone providers.

That being said, I have witnessed the site loading in plain text on one computer at a friend's place (as described by slack further up in this thread), but only on that one computer (but in multiple browsers on that computer), and never elsewhere.

The site was text only when I changed to Brave browser a couple weeks ago, but I fiddlefucked with the secure settings like sly mentioned on post #3. That fixed it.
Only thing that hinders my use is the "too busy" error, which is always there from like 8.30 to 11 AM my time. The downtime is not exact and changes a bit from day to day.
I suppose that's just a feature and not a bug.

I think the host must be doing a backup around that time, or some other site on the server is a resource hog in that time slot. my email is flooded with SQL server error messages about 2-4 AM eastern, so 7-9 GMT. I think you're a couple time zones over so thats probably the same window.

First go to grandmarq.net, then click the thingy immediately to the left of the URL, should say "not secure", or "dangerous".
Then click site settings, scroll down.
Find "non-secure / unprotected content", or whatever that is in english (a little exclamation triangle logo).
            Set that to allow.
            Reload gmn page.

That worked for me, I was able to reproduce it even, by disallowing said thing.
Also I changed back to using Firefox a while ago, mainly because uBlock started working on YT again, also Brave is kind of a shit browser.

              Methinks I got it.
Ended up tapping the Brave lionhead logo and removing the "Brave shields." Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

As an FYI, I use AdBlocker Ultimate in Firefox and recently got at least one message on YouTube saying adblockers were not allowed, but the adblocker seemed to have gotten around that fairly quickly (unless YouTube relented).

I use uBlock Origin and have not seen that message yet. Any time I see an ad, I make sure uBlock is updated and then continue ad free.

Seems lately, at various times, I am getting the "site server is busy - try back later" message. Been happening many times over the past few weeks. Can usually get in within a few minutes but curious what the cause is (something new?) or what has previously been discussed. By the way, I am using Chrome and it has happened with multiple computers using Win 10 and Win 11.

This is nothing new. This site is on a shared host so other sites are on the same server. If one of the other sites are hogging all the resources, it makes our site gripe about it.

Thanks - didn't think it was a new event as it has been mentioned previously. Just thought someone might need to know.

I get emails overnight pretty much daily about the mysql server dropping out.

Any real long term fixes or is it just something to live with?

Since that's host side... just gotta live with it unless we move the site to a better host.
