Yesterday was bad. That's the worst I've seen it in a good long while. Hopefully that triggered flags with the host and loads will be balanced across servers better.

      Forum software update complete.

As usual, let us know of any issues and I'll be keeping an eye on the server issues.

I think I've mentioned this before somewhere, but it's happened again and now I have demonstrative imagery.
Sometimes thread info doesn't update properly, reply amount and so on. It also doesn't show as having unread replies, even though if there were some.

I took this screen cap just a while ago, where the thread in question had way more replies than 3 and the latest reply was by sly, profile pic is correct but the user name isn't. Clicking to go to the last reply takes me to the reply made at the time shown, which isn't even the 3rd reply, and definitely isn't the last.

The forum does this every now and then, sometimes a couple threads get "stuck" for a day or two, often just one.

I've noticed this too. Usually refreshing the search fixes the issue, but sometimes logging out and back in sorts it. I've not had the issue persist between logins. No real clue why it does it as it's probably some parsing error between the database and the website backend. As long as I've been using this site, I've seen that issue, so it's not on just this version of the MySQL, vBulletin, SSL, etc.

Do you leave yourself logged in? If so, try logging out and back in the next time it happens to see if it clears up. Could be a rouge cookie glitch where information isn't being updated locally.

Postings have been somewhat to downright REAL slow today. Just wanted to see if I was the only one.

Nope. Been slow for me too. Not sure what all is going on, but I know it's not our load on the server doing it. Our website's load on the server is very low, but the server is never low on load... so yeah... This is probably going to continue to be a thing.

Yeah I'm always logged in. But the issue persists over relogging, clearing firefox cache, on another browser and on my other device. Always shows the same inconsistency.

It's just a minor inconvenience, but since we're on the topic of issues, might aswell complain

This is what I think was happening to me about a month ago. I'd click the button to go to the last post and instead it takes me to what looks like that last post, but wasn't. So then when I see my reply, it's irrelevant.

Yeah... the icon of the user is from the actual last post, but the name is not. Not sure how to fix this.

Edit: Looks like I managed to fix it. I used the moderation tools to edit the topic and just save it without making changes. Looks like it's fixed now. Let me know if it's not.

I dunno if your fix was thread specific, but anyways the issue has popped up again in a couple other threads.

It does seem to be thread specific. Let us know what threads are affected and we'll try to fix as we can.

Tried the same fix with another couple of threads I noticed the issue on and no effect. Not sure what to do about this now.

Not just you, it's definitely slow.

We're seeing a large quantity of bots crawling the website. There are a number of legitimate reasons why this can be - for example, the bots that build search indexes so when you type something in Google or Yahoo or whatever, this page is in the results. We're not sure at the moment if that is a problem that requires any investigation.

Similarly, we suspect that the web host's resources are being stretched a little thin, maybe by other customers with more demanding websites, but we also aren't completely sure at the moment and need more insight before doing any finger-pointing for sure.
