Metro Detroit Meet - 2019

I am trying to plan a weekend in a tent somewhere, which will preclude my attendance to a meet on that weekend, so just throwing that out there. My thing needs to be set up about 1.5 weeks ahead, so if the meet will be longer notice than that, all will be fine.

Finally got approval. October 19 - anyone want to meet then?
I lost my granddad on my birthday a few days ago, my work assignment has gone downhill. Not great times...-Nick M.

Nice, I'll check with the wife and see what her plans are that weekend.
Sorry to hear about your granddad. Between my grandmother, my wife's grandmother, and my mother-in-law I may be a tentative yes, as long as those three can keep kicking.
I'm currently sitting in the hospital visiting the MIL.Vic

Also, since things seem to be crazy for everyone this year, my vote is to keep it simple like last year. Meet at the same park and figure out on the fly some place to eat.Vic

We're 10 days out from the Oct 19 date - all good still?
I'm available and planning to attend.
The cheesy pirate bar was surprisingly unawful given its motifs, however, my preference would be to identify a business that has actual interior lighting. Detroit and area has a lot of food options, it seems kind of a shame to rule out alternatives for no real reason.
As for the 82 TC, I am over-capacity for vehicles, so sadly that's a no.

I plan on being there. I'm not picky when it comes to food, but I don't get out much so I don't have food location suggestions.
I think I'll bring what's left of The Ice Car for the fist time since the 2015 meet, and quite possibly this will be the last meet for that car.Vic

Hmm, well all the other good locales for food are considerable drives. Pirate bar is close & easy, I don't mind a drive but just trying to be mindful of time and other peeps. We could try One Eye'd Betty's in Ferndale, that's a favorite of ours and is roughly the same distance as Vinsetta Garage. There's Johnny Black's Public House in Sterling Heights which Ash and I recently discovered, it's got great food but the interior lighting is dim. Food is absolutely great though. Waitresses are smokin' hot too. Large parking lot which can accommodate our trash.
I'll see about bringing my Lincoln. I might just drive one of the trucks.1985 LTD Crown Victoria - SOLD

It's either going to be my 2006 Lincoln or 1990 Lincoln - we'll see...goal is the 2006!
I'm with Kevin - would prefer a place with decent lighting that won't leave me feeling ill I'm going to either get a hotel in Ohio or Michigan for the night before and somewhere in metro area for Saturday night.-Nick M.
