    New Horns for Cherry!!!

Finally went the extra mile and got some REAL horns.

My original air horns, still attached to the solinoid in the steering wheel, are, well, crap. They run off of a 25psi direct drive compressor. I have to keep unclogging them because they have no pressure at all.

So now, my new horns are in and AWESOME! They are Siege Manufacturing Kong-1 TRAIN HORNS. CSX just placed an order for 'em to start replacing some of their horns. They run off of 125psi and is audible up to three miles away at 15dB. I even got the railroad lanyard mounted in the cab so that I can 'feather' the horns. They drain the tank real fast though...BUT I LOVE 'EM!

I thought about doing a horn setup like the movie "The car". Gosh I like that movie. LOL. So have you got behind anyone and tried them out? LOL

That is awesome mang, I Love It!

The Railroad Lanyard that you mounted in the cab is the best touch of all, Nice Work!

I always wanted something like that, back when I use to DD my box. The stock horn isn't any where near strong enough to scare the oblivious idiots, who always cut me off.

Blasting em with those horns should wake em up real fast, lol.

Come to think of it, though .... considering the kind of psychopaths we all have to share the road with .......... I'd be having a phone chat with the Michigan State Police before installing such an item, though.

A guy in a tanker truck had freight train horns and scared the living crap outta the people waiting at the Turnpike tolls a few months back. I think he literally scared the shit outta a few people. If I weren't trying to complete so many different projects here, I would have a train horn and a nerf bar full of offroad lights for all of those crappy drivers we got here.

The horns are perfectly fine as long as I don't over use them. Since they're on a separate system, they are legal.

I've caused a couple people to break their necks looking to see where the horn came from. It's hilarious!

Be careful using those, they wouldn't be too happy with you around here, esp with the rednecks packing shotguns, ha, ha
