I have what i believe all my pt's ordered except for the inline fuel pump, the cap and button for the dizzy and the adapter for that... Im thinking local parts whore houses for theses items would be best.

Also. I half to still get a torq wrench. Some of you mangs that stayed tuned for the last okay dokie. would have noted how i put waaaay to much pressures on bolts.

So be patient. :P I will be thuro with asking question and taking pics and. Asking more questions :P

    Okay

allrighty well since all of my parts i needed to order should be shiping heres my first question :P Along with a few others.

Ok. So first off i been wondering where to start. good place to start i should say. I was thinking of actually starting on the cfi and the intake just to get that out of the way, then the dis then the fuel tank and finally the fuel pump.

Ok, Other thing i been wondering is. What is a fuel Sump? Annnd. How do i make it?

And the other question is/was how much torq do i need on the intake bolts but i belive thats been answeered for 18 - 23lbs of torq hehe.

ask for a distributor and duraspark for a 78 couger with a 302 ought to do it. you'll want the 2 connector box with a blue grommet around the wires. almost any 302 non-efi application distributor and box will do the job, as long as it is NOT for a 1985 Mustang.

gaskets would be an intake set for your car. that would give you the manifold to head gasket, distributor O ring, and intake front and end seals. I like the felpro permadry ones, they have a rubber gasket at each end of the intake valley that works nicely.

big ratched and a 15/16" socket on the crank pulley to spin the motor.

TDC is fairly easy. pull the #1 spark plug and stick your finger in it. Rotate the engine till you feel it trying to push your finger off with compression. Slowly turn the motor till the 0 mark on the balancer lines up. If you really want to verify it, pull the passenger valve cover and make sure both valves on #1 are shut. If its 360 degrees off, one of the valves should be open.

Thought i would share my last small list. ( Hoping that this is the rest of the stuff i need.. )

1 ft of hard brake line 3/8 inch

10 fuel line clamps ( Thats the correct wording aye?)

4ft of 3/8 inch rubber fuel line

                            1 inline fuel filter

intake gasket set ( No Cork!)

                            Gasket scraper

valve cover gasket ( Perma dry from napa aye?)

Wire... With the wire what gauge of wire do i need to ask for? This is for the fuel pump mostly along with the dizy and module.

Getting excited now So close to doing it :P

O yes I found my EVTM book thingy..! Or well i confiscated it back! However i still am at wits ends on the diagram for the module and dizzy . If anyone that has done this could make a pics of there wiring they done i would love you so much :P

I've only ever used the Ford ones. They are steel with a rubber insert. They are reusable, and you don't have to worry about them collapsing as you tighten them. They also provide excellent leak protection. They should be around $40.
