This may have been posted before. I did a sercrh on "blend door" and got 100s of hits, so I'm adding this in.
My 2001 GM started blowing hot air a few weeks ago. My mechanic told me that the blend door is controlled by a solenoid, not a vacuum motor, so my looking under the hood for a loose line was in vain. Anywho, my mechanic attached a code reader to the port, found the solenoid in the network and sent it a "reset" command. That worked. Better than tearing the firewall/dash area apart to get to the door itself.
